MS game studios take a beating, flight simulator studio CLOSED

It seems as if Micrsoft's gaming division is taking a huge beating in terms of layoffs. The Flight Simulator studio has been forced to close and around 30 percent of their video game testers have been given the chop. Not a happy day...

Gamasutra reports that the Flight Simulator studio, dubbed ACES, suffered big layoffs yesterday, which marked the cutting of the first 1,400 jobs. [Update: A Microsoft spokesman confirmed that ACES has been shut down.]
